This report is the result of workshop and a consultation of a group of experts. It aims at informing policy-makers and the public about health effects of poor air quality and strengthening the health sector with knowledge and tools. The consultation aimed at finding best evidence based ways to communicate potential risks related to air pollution to various audiences, including the public, health care professionals and patients, and to offer means of reducing exposure. The proposed elements of language and practical advice are directed to communication and feasible actions.
