The Asia-Pacific Regional Action Programme on Air Pollution (RAPAP) was adopted in 2022 by ESCAP Member States. It aims to promote clean air for all in Asia and the Pacific through:

  • Promoting science-based and policy-oriented cooperation
  • Establishing a regional platform for best practices exchange
  • Promoting domestic actions and regional cooperation
  • Identifying technical and financial resources for multilateral and cooperative action
  • Fostering dialogue and technical cooperation.

The RAPAP platform aims to:

  • Serve as an online regional platform to support partnerships and coordination among existing multilateral, subregional and multistakeholder cooperation mechanisms
  • Provide a repository of collaborative work at regional & multilateral levels
  • Catalyze joint capacity building projects on clean air
  • Scale up the impact of joint actions.
