Readout of Actionable Science for Tropospheric Ozone and Climate Expert Meeting at U.S. Department of State

On the sidelines of the 2024 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Annual Meeting in December, the United States Department of State convened leading scientists and policy experts to discuss science needs for holistic mitigation of the climate, health, and food security impacts of tropospheric ozone.

During the meeting, participants shared views on current information gaps relevant for policymaking on ozone; identified areas where new science advancements are needed; and explored pathways to deliver actionable scientific information to policymakers.

This document provides an overview of discussions at the meeting, including recommendations and suggested follow-up actions. The background documents prepared for the workshop are available in the appendices.
