This report expands the guidelines on aerosol measurements from AOD to include a comprehensive list of aerosol optical, physical and chemical measurements that are needed globally. It provides assistance to those involved in developing an integrated global aerosol measurement system for climate and atmospheric composition studies. It should be considered a living document that will be updated and revised according to new scientific and technological developments. Related partners World Meteorological Organization (WMO)
