by CCAC - 5 December, 2022

OVERVIEW

The aim of this project is to support the Central African Republic’s Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development in building awareness across the government and the country on the need for action on short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs).

EXPECTED PROJECT OUTCOMES

Through the proposed outputs and activities, the project should achieve the following by its completion:

  • Central African Republic’s government has increased knowledge and capacity for SLCP action.

MINIMUM REQUIRED OUTPUTS

The project should deliver at a minimum:

  • Training workshops to build capacity within the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, relevant national institutions, as well as practitioners for black carbon and co-pollutants emissions reductions.
  • Training workshops to raise awareness on mitigation options from agriculture open burning, household energy, and heavy-duty vehicles to strengthen Central African Republic’s SLCP planning process. Central African Republic’s SLCP inventory will be used as a basis for this workshop.

Applicants are encouraged to propose additional outputs as needed to ensure the expected project outcomes are achieved.
