The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) will participate in Climate Week NYC 2026 through a series of events focused on accelerating action on super pollutants, clean air, methane mitigation and sustainable cooling.

Throughout the week, CCAC will bring together and engage with governments, businesses, finance, industry, international organizations and other partners to advance practical solutions, strengthen collaboration and help turn commitments on super pollutants into measurable action.

The programme will include high-level discussions, roundtables and partner events highlighting opportunities to accelerate implementation and build momentum towards COP31.

Monday, 21 September

13:30–15:30 | Accelerating Business Leadership on Air Pollution
Organised by the UN Global Compact, UNEP and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI).
A roundtable alongside the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit on how leadership and partnerships across business, government, finance and civil society can accelerate progress towards cleaner air.

15:00–17:00 | Launch of the COP31 Action Agenda
Organised by the COP31 Presidency.
A launch bringing together governments, international organisations, financial institutions, the private sector and civil society around the COP31 Presidency’s Action Agenda.
Location: UN Headquarters, 405 East 45th Street.

16:30–17:20 | The Super Pollutant Sprint: Local Action, Global Results
Organised by the CCAC and Climate Group.
A fireside chat and panel on how national and subnational governments, funders and partners are turning super pollutant pledges into measurable action, building towards a call to action ahead of COP31.

Co-organised by the CCAC, SPAA, Global Methane Hub and Clean Air Fund.

Tuesday, 22 September

09:00–17:30 | The Cool House
Organised by the Refrigerant Emissions Elimination Forum (REEF).
A Climate Week NYC hub on sustainable cooling marking the 10th anniversary of the Kigali Amendment and bringing together government, industry and technical leaders. Reception until 19:00.

14:00–16:15 | SOUND TRACK for a Just Rural Transition
Organised by Clim-Eat.
A session of the High-Level Panel on a Just Rural Transition, chaired by former President of Costa Rica H.E. Carlos Alvarado Quesada, focused on repurposing subsidies towards sustainable and resilient farming.
Location: Jay Suites Fifth Avenue, Midtown Manhattan.

16:00–18:00 | High-Level Methane Solutions Dialogue
Organised by the Climate Action Team, Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General.
A high-level dialogue bringing together countries supporting the UN Secretary-General’s Call to Action on Methane, with discussions focused on strengthening political support and coordinated action to reduce methane emissions.
Location: United Nations Headquarters.

17:30–19:00 | Super Pollutants Communications Mixer
Co-organised by the CCAC, Global Methane Hub and RMI.
A working session for communications and advocacy leads across the super pollutant community to coordinate narratives and messaging.
Location: RMI Office Rooftop, 17 State Street.

Wednesday, 23 September

14:00–16:00 | High-Level Launch of the Friends of the Kigali Amendment
Co-organised by the Government of Rwanda and Beyond Alliance.
A ministerial-level gathering bringing governments together with philanthropy, industry and other partners to accelerate implementation and ratification of the Kigali Amendment. The policy discussion will be followed by a reception.
Location: Convene 360 Madison, 360 Madison Avenue, within the Beyond Alliance Super Pollutant Action Summit.

Full day | Beyond Alliance Super Pollutant Action Summit
Organised by Beyond Alliance.
A full-day, industry-focused summit on super pollutant action. The Friends of the Kigali Amendment launch will take place within the Summit.

Organised by REN21, the FIA Foundation, SLOCAT and UITP.
A working roundtable on closing the gap between transport and energy planning and investment, framed around energy resilience ahead of COP31.

Thursday, 24 September

Organised by Assemble Alliance, CLASP and Stanford University.
A working breakfast for funders, practitioners and researchers towards a shared global roadmap for electric cooking.

09:15 | We Don’t Have Time: The Montreal Protocol, the Kigali Amendment and Super Pollutants
Organised by We Don’t Have Time.
A live discussion with Nick Nuttall on the Montreal Protocol, the Kigali Amendment and accelerating action on super pollutants.

09:30–12:00 | Waste Methane and Circularity
Organised by the Carrot Foundation.
An invite-only working meeting of financiers, policymakers and operators on waste methane as a new category of carbon finance and on scaling methane funding, building towards COP31.

11:00–20:00 | Global Methane Day: “The Methane Emergency Brake”
Organised by the Global Methane Hub, with participation by IMEO.
A full-day convening on turning trusted methane emissions data into action through stronger policy, corporate accountability, strategic communications and community advocacy.

13:15–14:30 | Climate Implementation Bridge (BRIDGE): Advancing Climate, Development and Finance Integration in the Implementation Era
Organised by the COP31 Presidency of Türkiye and UNDP.
A dialogue on BRIDGE, a country-driven COP31 Action Agenda initiative to help countries translate climate commitments into investable programmes and financing strategies.

14:00–15:15 | Advancing Global Action on Agricultural Methane: Delivering for Farmers, Food Systems, and Climate
Organised by the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).
A session on global momentum behind livestock methane action, examining what is working on the ground and what is needed to unlock the next phase of progress.

15:00–16:00 | From Data to Action: The Strategic Communications Playbook for Methane
Organised by the Global Methane Hub.
Senior voices from government, journalism and advocacy discuss how communications can move policymakers from evidence to ambitious methane action.

16:00–18:00 | Accelerating the Transition Away from Fossil Fuels: Industry Pathways for Methane Reductions and Sustainable Fuels
Organised by EDF and COP30.
An invite-only roundtable with national oil companies, international organisations, policymakers and investors on methane abatement in oil and gas operations and the role of sustainable fuels.
