Recipe For Success: How to design, fund and implement short-lived climate pollutant mitigation activities as Article 6 carbon market projects

-
(Paris)
Virtual

The objective of this webinar is to explore how successful and impactful Article 6 carbon market projects work, and identify ways to replicate them across different contexts and geographies.

The webinar will present the approved Article 6 projects in Thailand on E-mobility and in Ghana on addressing methane emissions from the rice sector - both with multiple benefits. These are topics that are highly relevant to many other Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) countries that have identified SLCP mitigation measures that could qualify as Article 6 projects.

The webinar will also present an Article 6 implementation programme managed by the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre that works with developing countries in building their capacity to use Article 6 cooperative approaches to engage the private sector in NDC implementation and ambition raising.

The webinar will provide an opportunity for representatives from other CCAC Partner countries to hear the practical steps to develop an Article 6 project, to learn about support mechanisms, and to find out how their countries can take forward lessons learned.
