VitalTalks: Safer, Healthier Air Starts with Data

With more than 90% of the world breathing unhealthy air, humanity is wrestling with the ubiquitous challenges posed by climate change and its extreme impacts on our health.

Safer and cleaner air can only be achieved when policymakers, public health practitioners and the public understand the sources and impacts of air pollutants and greenhouse gasses, and the evidence-based solutions to mitigate this pollution.

Produced for Climate and Clean Air Coalition partners Environmental Defense Fund and Vital Strategies, early this month at Vital Talks on Safer, Healthier Air Starts with Data, two films by BBC StoryWorks was showcased, followed by a discussion that explored our data-driven work to improve air quality at the intersection of climate and health.

Clean air actions must be prioritized if we’re to protect our health and the health of our planet.
