Recap and Next Steps from CCAC NGOs Partner Strategy Exchange Call from 4 March 2026

Thank you to everyone who joined our first CCAC NGO Partners Strategy Exchange. We appreciated the strong participation and discussion. As emphasised during the meeting, this is the beginning of a more regular dialogue with NGO partners. Below is a brief recap of what was covered.

• 7-15 July: High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, New York City, NY, USA.
• 13-17 July: 48th Open-Ended Working Group of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol, Bangkok, Thailand.

Current work to watch

• Integrated Economic Assessment of Climate and Clean Air: Expected launch in July 2026. The assessment examines the economic benefits of jointly tackling air pollution and climate, specifically incorporating new WHO data on disease burdens such as dementia.
• Agriculture and Food Systems Assessment: Expected to launch in September 2026. Currently being developed by CCAC/UNEP with FAO, focusing on mitigation opportunities while maintaining agricultural productivity.
• Financial Flows Analyses (CCAC with Climate Policy Initiative), including methane financial flows report (expected in April 2026) and super pollutant financial flows report (expected in June 2026 at LDCW).
