Below is a brief recap of key updates and opportunities for engagement following the recent CCAC Board meeting at London Climate Action Week.CCAC Board UpdatesSuper Pollutant Prioritisation Strategy (2026–2030)The Board has approved the first draft of the new government-led Super Pollutant Prioritisation Strategy and invites feedback from all CCAC Partners.The Strategy is intended to align governments, partners, funders, and the private sector around a small number of high-impact actions to accelerate super pollutant mitigation through 2030. It is important to note that this is not a strategy for allocating CCAC resources or defining all Coalition activities. Review the draft Super Pollutant Prioritisation Strategy and share your feedback with the CCAC Secretariat by Saturday, 15 August 2026. The draft Strategy is available here.Call for Proposals for Super Pollutant Country Action Accelerator | Deadline: 14 August 2026The first Call for Proposals is now open for technical assistance projects in Cambodia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, and South Africa. I encourage interested partners to apply and to share this opportunity across your networks. Register hereOther Board UpdatesThe Board also approved a one-year extension of the Clean Air Flagship with revised goals and received updates on support for NDC enhancement, Biennial Transparency Reporting, and the Waste Engagement Strategy, among others.Current Work to WatchPartners shared new tools, networks, and collaboration opportunities across methane, black carbon, clean air, finance, and implementation. A few updates that may be of particular interest:CCAC now has 111 approved NGO Partners, with four additional applications under review.The Super Pollutant Action Alliance (SPAA)’s Super Pollutant Field Survey assessing organizational capacity, funding, geographic coverage, pollutant priorities, and coordination results is due this August.More countries are joining the Fossil Fuel Regulatory Programme, and the Programme is including work on methane intensity in traded gas.CCAC and IEA launched a methane regulator-to-regulator network for peer exchange.Clean Air Fund’s Black Carbon Peer Network connects 9 countries ahead of COP31.EIA, CCAC, and IGSD highlighted financing, national systems, and safeguards for Lifecycle Refrigerant Management.Climate Bonds Initiative is developing methane-investment guidance across major sectors.Africa Clean Air Network is expanding regional coordination and will hold its 2026 forum on 13 July in Pretoria.We are sharing a Practical Guide for CCAC Partners to help partners better understand CCAC processes and opportunities for engagement. Our work on the Guide is ongoing. Partners raised questions and feedback during the NGO exchange and separately, which are helping us shape this resource.
