Co-chairs

Two Co-Chairs preside over the Climate and Clean Air Coalition Board and Annual Meeting. They are elected by country partners for staggered two-year terms.

Adalberto Maluf

Adalberto holds a bachelor on International Affairs and an MSc in Internal Political Economy at the Institute of International Relations of University of Sao Paulo (IRI/USP).

Adalberto was the Director of Government Affairs, Sustainability and Marketing for BYD Brasil (Build Your Dream) from 2014-2023. He also served as director and president to the board of ABVE (Brazilian Association of Electric Vehicles) from 2018-2023 and a member of the board of ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy) from 2018-2022 and ABGD (Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation) vice president of the board from 2019-2023.

Prior to BYD, Adalberto worked for the City of Sao Paulo (2006-2007) and was the City Director for the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) in partnership with the C40 Cities between 2007 and 2014 in Sao Paulo.

Katie White OBE MP
Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Climate) 
 

Before going into politics, Katie worked at Friends of the Earth where she co-led the campaign for the Climate Change Act.

In 2009, she worked with the UK government to prepare for the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen (COP15), before going on to work at the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC).

She was previously Executive Director at WWF-UK.

She was awarded an OBE for her services to tackling climate change.

Katie White was appointed Minister for Climate in the Department for Energy, Security and Net Zero on 7 September 2025.

She was elected as the MP for Leeds North West in July 2024.
