Comparing Energy Efficiency in Supermarkets using CO2 & R507

This is the energy efficiency assessment report in relation with the Chile Technology Demonstration Project in the Supermarket Sector implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with funding support from the HFC Initiative of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC).

The purpose of this study was to compare the energy efficiency of two refrigeration systems using two different coolants—R507 and R-744—and subsequently determine which of the two systems is more functionally efficient from an energy perspective.
