Presentation-The Case for Urgent Action on Super Pollutants to Avoid the Worst of the Climate Crisis

At the CCAC Super Pollutant Ministerial 2024, Prof. Drew Shindell Chair of CCAC Scientific Advisory Panel explained the urgent need – and opportunity – for action on super pollutants from both a scientific and economic perspective. This case for action pointed to upcoming CCAC reports to be released in the next two years, including the “Global Nitrous Oxide (N2O) Assessment” (to be released in Oct 2024), the “Integrated SLCP Assessment on Agriculture and Food Systems” (late 2025 at COP30), and the “Global Assessment of the Economic Cost of SLCPs” (early 2026).
