Strengthening the ozone treaty to secure significant greenhouse gas emission reductions into the future

The Montreal Protocol is heralded as the most successful environmental treaty ever and has secured significant climate benefits through the phasing down and out of climate damaging refrigerant gases. However, there is opportunity to significantly increase the GHG emission reduction in the future.
