Central African Republic CCAC Partner since 2013 Breadcrumb Home Our Partners Central African Republic The Central African Republic joined the Climate and Clean Air Coalition in 2013 to contribute to international efforts to reduce short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs). The Central African Republic recognizes the dangers of climate change and air pollution to its people and economy and has received CCAC national planning support since 2018 to build integrated emission inventories and increase capacity to mitigate SLCPs. This work is paving the way for informed policy making and emission reduction strategies that will ultimately result in direct in-country benefits such as improved health and economic growth. The country is also involved in the CCAC's work on municipal solid waste and is looking to address other key sources of SLCP emissions, including forest and bush fires, agricultural opening burning, and cooling.
