Hubs Partner-led networks promoting transformation in key emitting sectors Share SHARE Facebook share Twitter LinkedIn Copy URL Email Why join Members Upcoming Meetings Projects Breadcrumb Home The Coalition Our hubs Our hubs are networks of stakeholders who share an interest in reducing short-lived climate pollutant (SLCP) emissions in their sectors. Hubs act as a platform to share knowledge and encourage action among state and non-state members. The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) operates hubs focused on key polluting sectors, as well as cross-cutting themes which can affect change across a wide range of polluting activities. These include agriculture, cooling, fossil fuels, heavy-duty vehicles and engines, household energy, national planning, and waste. What our hubs do CCAC hubs meet periodically to exchange with peers, share best practices, and learn about the latest science in key sectors. Each hub aims to draw on the various strengths and experiences of its members to raise ambition, strengthen political will, and drive SLCP action from every angle. Hub members include experts and leaders from governments, inter-governmental organisations, non-governmental organisations, and the private sector. Image Why join a hub? Hub membership is voluntary and open to all entities and persons with an interest or expertise in the targeted sector. Joining a hub gives you the opportunity to: Learn directly from governments about their priorities and needs Discover what experts across the world are doing to tackle SLCPs Collaborate with state and non-state actors to spur new project development and help find and facilitate funding for SLCP-related projects Network and collaborate on proposals for new project development Inform CCAC funding priorities and our annual work plan & budget so that we support the projects that are critically important to SLCP mitigation Register to join a hub CCAC Hubs Addressing major sources of methane and black carbon, while improving productivity Replacing potent climate-warming HFC refrigerants while improving equipment efficiency Helping tackle one of the biggest and most solvable contributors to the climate crisis Reducing black carbon and other pollutants from internal combustion engines Increasing access to clean household fuels and technology to deliver climate and clean air benefits Supporting policies that integrate climate and clean air objectives Improving waste management to reduce methane and black carbon and achieve the benefits of a circular economy Members Our hubs count more than 100 governments, NGOs, IGOs, and private sector entities as members. Each hub is co-led by a minimum of two countries and is supported by a leadership group comprised of both CCAC and non-CCAC Partners advancing work in the sector. For more information about which countries and other participants are part of a specific hub, please visit the relevant hub page. Two of these meetings are virtual, and one is in person. Members are encouraged to participate in all meetings and present their work to mitigate short-lived climate pollutants in the relevant sector.
