CCAC at COP27

This November, the eyes of the world are on Egypt, where leaders and decision-makers from around the world will convene in Sharm el-Sheikh for the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 27), with a view to building on previous successes and paving the way for future ambition to effectively tackle the global challenge of climate change.

This COP comes at a critical moment. With new reports from across the climate world painting a worrisome picture of the state of climate action, there is no time for us to lose when it comes to slashing short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs), which we already know is the the fastest and most effective way to keep us under 1.5Ā°C.

According to UNEP's new Emissions Gap Report, "Only an urgent system-wide transformation can avoid climate disaster." The CCAC goes into COP27 ready to work with our partner countries to transform the systems where we can easily, quickly, feasibly cut SLCPs, for the health of people and planet.
